AMMAN — Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmed Al-Hanandeh, on Thursday said that the Cabinet had approved the 2021-2025 National Strategy for Digital Transformation and its executive plan. In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the minister said that the digital ID cards will be activated in August, noting that the activation can be done remotely, but there is a high error rate, as the process requires matching the image within specific dimensions. The ministry has formed a team for this purpose, he indicated, noting that any Jordanian can see all of  his or her data and obtain the services that are digitized through the e-government service platform (Sanad). This strategy aims to enhance transparency and openness, improve the quality of services and make them more effective, sustainable, and reliable, in addition to improving performance efficiency and reducing time and cost.
