The Chairman of the National Cybersecurity Center, Mohammad Al-Samadi, stated that the number of cyberattacks in Jordan has decreased in recent periods, attributing this decline to preventive measures and the increased awareness of Jordanian citizens.اضافة اعلان

His remarks came during a press conference on Tuesday announcing the C8 2025 Conference and Exhibition on Cybersecurity Progress, Innovation, and Technology, which will host a wide range of thought leaders, experts, and specialists in cybersecurity and future technologies.

Al-Samadi emphasized that the event, held under the patronage of Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, comes amidst the rapid global digital innovation, reflecting a strategic step and a continuation of the Crown Prince’s leadership in digital advancement. He noted that the Crown Prince’s sponsorship demonstrates significant attention to digital transformation.

The event aims to unify national efforts in cybersecurity and highlight Jordan’s achievements in this sector, with Al-Samadi assuring that the cyberspace in Jordan is secure. He also mentioned that the center is in the final stages of implementing the executive program linked to the National Cybersecurity Strategy.

Meanwhile, CEO of Sofex Jordan, Rateb Abu Al-Ragheb, said the event will focus on Jordan’s progress in cybersecurity. He added that the future technology sector encompasses both civilian and military applications.

The event, scheduled from November 18 to 20, 2025, is a regional platform specialized in cybersecurity, aiming to strengthen Jordan’s position in line with the rapid technological advancements of the future.

It will gather decision-makers and experts from various tech sectors to discuss global trends and showcase innovative solutions in cybersecurity and advanced digital technologies.

Activities will include the “DotCyber” Cybersecurity Summit, the “Armython” cybersecurity competition for military and security entities, an AI in Defense and Cybersecurity Exhibition, as well as simulation sessions and live hacking competitions.

The Crown Prince’s patronage reflects the keen interest of King Abdullah II and the Crown Prince in supporting national efforts in technology and cybersecurity, and in positioning Jordan as a regional hub in this vital sector.
