AMMAN — HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Monday reiterated that technical and vocational training is one of the most important tools to enable young people to find job opportunities, according to a Royal Court statement.  During a meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace with graduates of Jaguar Land Rover Apprentice Academy’s first class, Crown Prince Al Hussein stressed the important role of the private sector in vocational and technical education to enable youth to meet labor market needs.  The 12 graduates—eight from Al-Hussein Technical University (HTU) and four from the National Service Program implemented by the Ministry of Labor—spoke to HRH about their experiences. The academy’s training program provides three options for its graduates, namely completing their education by obtaining an undergraduate degree at HTU, joining a three-month course that enables them to work at other car manufacturing companies, or entering the labor market directly.  Founded by Mahmoudia Motors, a Jaguar and Land Rover dealer in Jordan, the academy offers free training programs in automotive technology as part of its corporate social responsibility. Those interested can apply through HTU.
