Businesses in Amman strike in solidarity with Gaza

AMMAN – Stores across the capital have gone on strike in solidarity with Gaza following the Israeli bombing of the Al-Ahli Hospital on Tuesday, which resulted in the death of more than 500 people. اضافة اعلان

Khaberni reported, signs reading "In solidarity with Palestine" hung on the shops, throughout the city, most notably in the downtown area.

The Alayyan Group, which operates a number of car dealerships including Hyundai, Kia, GAC motor, Kumho Tire, Wallbox and Isuzu announced they would be closing until Saturday in response to the escalations and called on others to join in.

A group of private schools also chose to suspend or end the school day early despite the Ministry of Education's confirmation of regular school attendance.

Text messages were sent to parents, stating that "ending the school day early has caused significant disruption among parents.
