AMMAN — The Council of Ministers decided
to treat Arab tourists the same as Jordanians when paying entry fees at museums
and archaeological sites, until December 31, 2022, based on a recommendation
from the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.
The ministry said Tuesday, that this decision comes to
encourage inter-Arab tourism and to increase tourist groups coming from Arab
countries, and to contribute to enhancing Jordan’s competitiveness to attract
more Arab tourists.
It said that the decision will reflect positively on the
tourism sector and contribute to revitalizing tourism activity.
