AMMAN —
Greater Amman Municipality
Mayor Youssef Al-Shawarbeh announced on Friday that more than 1.5 million
passengers used the buses of Amman Vision Company in the month of March,
including the Amman bus and the
Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).

The official statistical numbers for
the month showed that 927,000 passengers used the BRT and the rest used the
regular bus lines, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.
New routes added in second phaseThe CEO of
Amman Vision, Ala’a-Eddin
Beano, in March announced the launch of 13 new routes for the
Amman bus in the coming two weeks.
Seven of the new routes were
launched on March 12, and the remaining six were launched on March 19.
These routes bought the total number
of routes in the
second phase of the project to 23.
The
Amman bus project was launched
in 2019 as part of the efforts to improve public transportation in the city,
with a fleet of 135 buses.
