The Ministry of Social Development announced on Thursday that a total of 797 beggars were apprehended during the month of June as part of 510 anti-begging campaigns conducted by the ministry’s Anti-Begging Directorate.اضافة اعلان

The ministry issued its June performance report, highlighting the key services delivered across various departments.

According to a statement from the Directorate of Communication and Media, the ministry processed:

9,924 applications for the issuance of health insurance cards,

136 cases for medical treatment exemptions,

141 transactions related to inheritance settlements,

and 806 applications for work permit exemption.

Other key statistics from the report include:

38 children were admitted to institutional child care centers, and 38 were discharged.

5 children were placed in alternative families.

4 nurseries were licensed.

229 women and children received services from social service offices affiliated with the Family and Juvenile Protection Department.

421 juveniles were referred under judicial decisions for behavior monitoring.

218 juveniles received rehabilitation services, 88 of whom benefited from vocational training programs.

39 child laborers received psychological and social interventions under the case management approach.

Regarding the public registry of associations:

The total number of registered associations stood at 6,094.

28 new associations were registered.

115 associations submitted requests to amend their bylaws.

20 associations were dissolved.

5 temporary committees completed their tasks, while 12 are still active.

3 dissolution committees concluded their work.

9 associations received official warnings.

As for the National Aid Fund:

628 families benefited from monthly financial aid.

167 families participated in training programs.

The Fund recorded a 94% response rate to incoming inquiries and communications.
