4,402 COVID-19 cases recorded Tuesday, 24 new deaths

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 4,402 new COVID-19 cases and 24 new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 12,048 and the total number of cases to 1,019,691.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,713 cases, while Zarqa recorded 468 cases. Irbid registered 907 cases, Balqa 374 cases, Karak recorded 82 cases, Jerash recorded 162 cases, and Tafileh recorded 37 cases. Madaba registered 154 cases, Aqaba 61, Ramtha 83, and Ajloun 144.

The ministry said in a statement that 159 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 179 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 65,748 according to the ministry. Out of 50,513 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 8.71 percent of them came back positive.
