At Least 40 Cholera Deaths Reported in Darfur Within a Week

Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) announced on Thursday that at least 40 people have died from cholera in Sudan’s Darfur region, amid the country’s worst outbreak in years and a conflict that has persisted for over two years.اضافة اعلان

In a statement, the organization said: “In addition to a widespread war, the people of Sudan are now facing the country’s most severe cholera outbreak in years.”

MSF teams treated more than 2,300 patients in Darfur alone and recorded 40 deaths over the past week.
