Saleh noted that the league journey is still long, and that the current stage requires treating every match with great importance, seeking to collect points and strengthen the team's tally, stressing that consistency in performance and results is the key to success, and that the team must keep working and focusing to achieve its goals in the coming rounds.
Speaking to Al Ghad, he said: "Al-Arabi faced a difficult match against Al-Wehdat, a team that is in high spirits after a series of wins and includes a group of players with high technical standards, which made securing the win require great focus and tactical discipline from all players. This victory will give Al-Arabi an important morale boost in the coming phase."
Saleh affirmed that the upcoming break will be an important opportunity for the technical staff, which took over its mission a few days ago, to get to know the players' abilities better, work on developing technical and physical aspects, and address some observations, contributing to bringing the team to its best readiness for the coming fixtures.
He added: "The technical staff is working to complete the rehabilitation of injured players and prepare them better technically and physically," noting that a number of young players will be under the technical staff's microscope in the coming period, as part of evaluating their abilities and giving them the chance to prove themselves.
Saleh kept most of the previous technical staff and brought in general coach Ihsan Sharif, who is also a hardworking coach and has worked with technical staffs led by Saleh more than once.
Diyan is a coach with experience in Asian stadiums and has technical knowledge and coaching experience at several clubs that could be an addition to Al-Arabi, given its ambition to keep competing and present an image reflecting the club's and its fans' aspirations, in addition to working as an Asian lecturer for years.
Al-Arabi has 7 points in its tally, collected from two wins and a draw, a return that gives the team a positive boost to continue its journey with greater confidence, especially after the important win over Al-Wehdat, which carried technical and moral value. Saleh affirmed the team's ability to challenge rival teams and achieve positive results against them, but the team still needs to strengthen its attacking capacity, as its players have scored only 4 goals so far, while the defensive system suffers clear flaws, having conceded 10 goals.
