For the new generation pickup, Isuzu has introduced two cabin types — the single cab and the crew cab — several model variants, and two choices of diesel engines. The all-new D-MAX is the seventh generation of one of the best-selling pickup trucks around the world.

The all-new D-MAX’s resemblance to the previous generation spells an evolutionary design direction. The pickup’s headlights are slimmer, with a nicely done U-shaped LED daytime running light. Its taillights also come with LED technology, and its retouched tailgate appears robust. The alloy wheels come in 41cm and 43cm options.

Isuzu’s new design direction extends to the generation’s interior. Donning premium materials, the D-MAX’s cabin evinces improved functionality and SUV-like comfort. The fully-loaded LS model’s new features include a 17.7cm infotainment system, a FM/AM radio function, and an Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay function.

The LS model also comes with dual zone climate control for the front row, AC vents in the rear — a standard across all crew cab models — and a customizable info screen displaying speed, fuel usage, range data, and maintenance notifications.

More convenience features are also available in the D-MAX LS model, such as the remote engine start, which allows you to turn on air-conditioning before you enter the car; the walk away lock, which secures your doors automatically when you are more than three meters away; and the follow me home lighting, which illuminates the area around your D-MAX when you exit in the dark.

Isuzu has enhanced safety in the all-new D-MAX by giving it a chassis design, larger breaks, standard dual airbags with increased dimension, a crash door-unlock system, a rear combination lamp, advanced electronic systems, and in Jordan’s market, a rain and light sensor.

The rain and light sensor automatically activates the wipers when it starts to rain, and it also helps detect and automatically turn on the headlamps as necessary.

Isuzu has worked hard on internal wear and tear improvements. Both the 3.0 liter and the 1.9 liter engine options increase power and torque while emitting less noise and vibrations.

The 1.9 liter engine, which is available for the single cab option, is designed to take efficiency to a new level, producing 150ps and 350Nm.

The new 3.0 liter engine comes with higher horsepower and torque, producing 190ps and 450Nm.

Both the 3.0 liter and 1.9 liter engines are extremely efficient with a turbocharger and high-pressure direct injection fuel system that makes the most of each drop of diesel.

Engine power is now transferred to the road through a more efficient and faster-shifting 6-speed automatic or manual transmission.

The well-designed and powered 2.5 liter, which gained popularity in the market, is still in production.

The 4x4 models benefit from a solid and lighter one-piece aluminium tail-shaft, transferring to the rear differential, which is now fitted with Electronic Stability Control (ESC).

The engine air intake system has been improved to increase the D-MAX’s wading depth up to 800mm. And under the D-MAX is more ground clearance with a comprehensive redesign of the body and chassis.

The all-new Isuzu D-MAX, a well-known and popular pickup in Jordan, just got better and more comfortable.
