According to reports, she was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai on Friday by her husband Parag Tyagi and close friends, but was declared dead upon arrival. Her untimely death at the age of 42 has left a significant void in Bollywood.

Shefali shot to fame in the early 2000s with the remix version of “Kaanta Laga”, a music video that quickly became a cultural phenomenon. Her bold style and charismatic screen presence earned her the title “Kaanta Laga Girl.” While many expected her to follow a typical stardom trajectory, Shefali chose a more selective and unconventional path in show business.

Her appearance on Bigg Boss made headlines, particularly due to her on-screen reunion with her ex-boyfriend, the late actor Sidharth Shukla. Though their romantic relationship ended over a decade ago, they maintained a friendly and respectful connection, which was evident during the show. In an interview with Bollywood Life, Shefali reflected:

"At first, we reconnected, then fought hard. After he returned from the secret room, our relationship improved. Even after we stopped dating, we remained cordial when we met."

She added that their intellectual bond rekindled inside the Bigg Boss house:

"We would talk about space, travel, bullet trains—there was always something deeper in our conversations."

In 2014, Shefali found love again and married actor Parag Tyagi. The couple often shared glimpses of their life on social media and reality shows, winning hearts with their genuine and affectionate relationship.

Her sudden passing at just 42 has left fans and industry peers grieving deeply. Friends describe her as someone who “lived life on her own terms,” always confident, authentic, and full of life.
