The number of companies registered in Jordan from the beginning of this year until the end of October rose by 49% compared with the same period in 2019, and by 19% compared with the same period in 2024, according to figures released by the Companies Control Department.

A total of 6,341 companies were registered during the first ten months of 2025, compared to 4,266 companies in the same period of 2019 and 5,334 companies in the same period last year.
Statistical data from the department showed that the total registered capital during the first ten months of 2025 exceeded 356 million Jordanian dinars.
The data indicated that limited liability companies recorded the highest number of registrations, accounting for 4,597 companies, or 72.5% of all new registrations, with a combined registered capital exceeding 114 million dinars.
Meanwhile, private shareholding companies topped the list in terms of registered capital, with more than 156 million dinars since the beginning of the year until the end of October.
The statistics also showed a 74% decrease in the number of companies dissolved or deregistered compared with the same period in 2019, and a 31% decrease compared with the same period in 2024.
Additionally, the net increase in capital during the first ten months of 2025 rose by 756% compared with the same period in 2019, and by 151% compared with the same period in 2024.
