Senator Ahmed Al-Khodari, President of the Jordanian Exporters Association (JEA), confirmed that the association organizes the Jordanian participation in this exhibition due to the US market being one of the most vital strategic markets for Jordanian exports. This importance stems from its massive consumer scale, high purchasing power, and the significant advantages provided by the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) linking the two friendly nations.
In a statement released on Saturday, Al-Khodari pointed out that Jordan possesses high-quality food and industrial products capable of competing globally. This necessitates continuous efforts to maximize the benefits of the FTA, boost the presence of Jordanian companies in international exhibitions and specialized trade events, and build sustainable partnerships with American importers and distribution chains.
He explained that enhancing Jordanian exports to the United States serves as a primary pillar for supporting the national economy by increasing foreign currency inflows, improving the trade balance, stimulating investments, raising the production capacity of national factories, and creating more job opportunities for Jordanians.
Al-Khodari stressed the importance of strengthening coordination and cooperation among various national institutions from both the public and private sectors—including ministries, economic authorities, export-support institutions, and the private sector. The goal is to unify efforts and integrate roles in promoting Jordanian products and opening new markets, emphasizing that the success of national exports is a success for the entire Jordanian economy.
He further clarified that the achievements made by Jordanian exports over the past years prove that investing in external promotion and building international trade relations yields tangible and sustainable economic returns. This requires sustained national efforts to enhance Jordan's position on the global trade map and solidify its image as a reliable source of high-quality products.
Al-Khodari emphasized that the association will continue to work with all national partners to boost the competitiveness of Jordanian exports and maximize the benefits of trade agreements signed by Jordan worldwide, in line with the Economic Modernization Vision, thereby contributing to sustainable economic growth that benefits both the country and its citizens.
For his part, Halim Abu Rahma, Director General of the Association, noted that the Jordanian participation comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the presence of Jordanian products in global markets and open new export horizons for national companies in one of the world's largest and most important consumer markets.
He added that this participation marks Jordan's 17th appearance at the exhibition, reflecting the association's commitment to a long-term strategy centered on the sustainable promotion of national exports and building robust trade relations with international importers and distributors, which helps enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian products and their access to foreign markets.
Abu Rahma indicated that the US market holds strategic importance for Jordanian food exports, not only because of its massive consumer size and high purchasing power but also due to the Free Trade Agreement between the Kingdom and the United States. This agreement is one of Jordan's most prominent economic pacts, providing substantial preferential advantages to Jordanian products and granting them an advanced competitive edge within the US market.
He explained that the Jordanian food industry has proven its ability to compete in international markets over the past years, thanks to its commitment to the highest standards of food safety and quality, as well as the diversity of its products that meet consumer demands in various markets—making the United States a promising market for future growth and expansion.
He said that the association continues to work in partnership with both the public and private sectors to implement specialized programs to support Jordanian exporters, organize participation in international exhibitions, build communication bridges with global buyers, and explore new trade opportunities, in alignment with national directives aimed at increasing national exports and boosting their contribution to economic growth.
He affirmed that export development represents one of the primary drivers of the Jordanian economy, given its direct role in increasing foreign currency inflows, improving the trade balance, stimulating investment, expanding the production capacity of national factories, creating jobs, and raising employment levels across various economic sectors.
Abu Rahma concluded that the positive results achieved from Jordan's continuous participation in international exhibitions underscore the importance of ongoing promotion for national products in global markets. This serves as a long-term economic investment that reinforces Jordan's position as a reliable source of high-quality food products and supports the ability of Jordanian companies to reach new markets and achieve sustainable growth in their exports. He added that the association will continue to fulfill its developmental and economic role in supporting national exporters and enhancing Jordan's presence in international trade forums, in line with the Kingdom's Economic Modernization Vision to drive sustainable growth and supply the national economy with further achievements and investment and export opportunities.
