European Commission Proposes Sanctions on Israel Over Gaza War

She also suggested imposing a package of sanctions on Israel’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, in addition to sanctions against members of Hamas and settlers involved in violence against Palestinians.

A German government spokesperson stated, “We are aware of the EU’s plans to impose sanctions on Israel, but the government has not yet decided on its position.”
