Authorities stated that the aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Nancy-Essey Airport, coming down in a residential area in the town of Tomblaine, within the Meurthe-et-Moselle department. This prompted a massive deployment of firefighting, ambulance, and police teams, who established a security cordon around the crash site.
According to French media, the aircraft was carrying a group of individuals on a flight related to a skydiving activity. Local authorities indicated that the accident resulted in the deaths of all eleven people on board.
The public prosecutor's office and civil aviation authorities announced the opening of an investigation to determine the causes of the crash, while aviation safety experts continue to examine the aircraft wreckage and the black boxes—if available—to uncover the circumstances surrounding the crash.
