Worsening West Bank security concerns US Defense Secretary

AMMAN — US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has voiced his apprehension regarding the worsening security conditions in the West Bank.اضافة اعلان

Following a meeting held on Thursday evening at the US Embassy in Brussels, Belgium, between Austin and Israeli Defense Minister Ya'alon, along with senior Israeli military officers, this concern was expressed.

Austin stressed the importance of bolstering security cooperation between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, proposing that it be facilitated through the US security coordinator. The objective is to effectively control the escalation of tensions and reduce conflicts.

Additionally, the two parties deliberated on the Iranian issue and explored strategies to counter the threats emanating from that direction, as per the report by Israeli news website Walla.
