The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Sunday that it currently operates more than 70 shelters in Gaza, providing refuge for tens of thousands of forcibly displaced people amid ongoing severe humanitarian conditions.

The agency noted that the Gaza Strip continues to suffer widespread destruction, including unstable buildings and unexploded ordnance that remain a threat to the population.
UNRWA affirmed that its teams are working to maintain shelter operations and provide safe spaces for children to continue learning and playing despite the difficult circumstances.
