The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that it is ready to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip but requires the green light from Israeli authorities to proceed.

According to the UN agency’s official website, during the first four days of the truce, it managed to bring in enough food supplies to sustain one million people — about half the population. The agency added that it has additional supplies outside the Strip, as well as the capacity and staff inside Gaza to facilitate further deliveries.
It is noteworthy that Israel and Hamas recently agreed to a plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
The plan calls for a ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces to designated lines, the transfer of humanitarian aid to residents of the Strip, the release of Israeli captives held by Hamas, and the handover of bodies in exchange for the release of around 2,000 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.
