Three Palestinians, including a Hamas commander, were martyred and others were injured on Tuesday in Israeli bombardment and gunfire in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza and Gaza City.
Medical sources at Al-Shifa Hospital west of Gaza City said two Palestinians were martyred and others injured after Israeli aircraft targeted a residential apartment near the Al-Lababidi intersection in the Al-Nasr neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
Local sources said Izz al-Din Al-Bayk, commander of Hamas’s Northern Brigade, was martyred in the strike on the apartment in Gaza City. A joint statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israeli forces had killed the commander of the Northern Brigade in the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources also reported that Ahmad Abu Mor was martyred after being shot by Israeli forces while he was on Salah al-Din Street in Deir al-Balah.
The death toll since the start of the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip has risen to 74,022 martyrs, while the total number of injured has reached 175,980.
