Tasnim News: Iran Prepared for Potential Resumption of War
TEHRAN/WASHINGTON — Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, citing informed sources on Tuesday, reported that Tehran is "fully prepared" for the potential resumption of hostilities, claiming to hold "new cards" for the next round of conflict as the ceasefire deadline approaches its final hours.اضافة اعلان

Escalating Rhetoric and Diplomatic Maneuvers
On the 14th day of the truce, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed hope that Tehran would secure a "fair deal," while simultaneously warning that a refusal to negotiate would expose Iran to "unprecedented problems." Speaking on The John Fredericks Show, Trump stated, "We have done a great job; we will be able to settle the Iran file, and everyone will be happy."

Despite the optimistic tone from Washington, the situation on the ground remains complex:

Vance to Islamabad: According to Axios, U.S. Vice President JD Vance is heading to Islamabad Tuesday morning for potential talks. Sources suggest Iranians are "stalling" due to pressure from the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) on negotiators to adopt a harder line.

Tehran’s Denial: Conversely, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated on Monday that Tehran currently has "no plan" for a second round of negotiations with Washington.

Supreme Leader's Stance: Conflicting reports emerged as Axios cited a source claiming the Iranian negotiating team received a "green light" from the Supreme Leader late Monday to enter talks.

The "Tosca" Ship Crisis
Adding to the friction, Tehran warned on Tuesday of "dire consequences" following the U.S. seizure of the Iranian vessel Tosca. Iran demanded the immediate release of the ship and its crew, labeling the U.S. action as "maritime piracy, an act of terrorism, and a violation of the ceasefire."

The Countdown
The two-week truce, which began on April 8, is scheduled to expire this Wednesday. Without an extension or a breakthrough in Islamabad, the region faces the high risk of a return to active conflict.
