Israeli occupation forces wounded a Palestinian on Friday evening, while Israeli settlers attacked a village in the occupied West Bank and fired live ammunition into the air, causing panic among residents.

In the town of Idhna, west of Hebron in the southern West Bank, a Palestinian sustained minor injuries after Israeli occupation forces stormed the town and fired live bullets and sound grenades, according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Meanwhile, Israeli settlers attacked the outskirts of the village of Farakha, west of Salfit governorate in the northern West Bank, firing live ammunition into the air.
Mustafa Bakr, a member of the Farakha village council, told Anadolu Agency that around 50 settlers attacked the northern edges of the village and fired live bullets into the air, spreading fear among residents.
Bakr added that Israeli occupation forces subsequently entered the village to secure and protect the settlers, with no injuries reported.
Since the start of Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 8, 2023, at least 1,105 Palestinians have been killed, around 11,000 injured, and more than 21,000 arrested by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, Israel’s war on Gaza, carried out with US support, has left more than 71,000 Palestinians killed and 171,000 wounded, most of them women and children, and has destroyed about 90% of civilian infrastructure. The United Nations has estimated the cost of reconstruction at approximately $70 billion, according to Anadolu Agency.
