Israeli Defense Minister: No Calm in Beirut Unless Hezbollah Stops Its Attacks
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Monday that there will be "no calm in Beirut" if Hezbollah's attacks continue, indicating that Israel will establish an area under military control around the Litani River in southern Lebanon.اضافة اعلان

Katz stated in a release issued by his office that the Southern Suburb of Beirut (Dahiyeh) is no different from the towns in northern Israel, adding that if there is no calm in the north, there will be no calm in Beirut.

Earlier, Katz announced that he had issued orders to carry out strikes in the Southern Suburb, an area that had largely been spared from bombardment since the announcement of a ceasefire on April 17.

Katz added that the Israeli military is simultaneously continuing to operate "against Hezbollah operatives and its infrastructure in Lebanon to eliminate threats against IDF forces and Israeli residents, and to turn the Litani region into an area under its security control, free of weapons." — AFP
