IRGC Announces Plan to Enforce a "New Order" in the Strait of Hormuz
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that it is finalizing preparations to enforce a "new order" for navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, which has remained almost entirely closed since the outbreak of war with the United States and Israel on February 28.اضافة اعلان

In a post on X on Sunday, the IRGC Navy stated: "The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy is completing operational preparations for the Iranian authorities' declared plan for a new order in the Persian Gulf." The statement further warned that conditions in the Strait "will never return to their previous state, especially for the United States and Israel."

This announcement follows the expiration of the deadline set by U.S. President Donald Trump. On Sunday, Trump escalated his pressure on Iran, threatening in a social media post to target Iranian power plants and bridges on Tuesday if Tehran does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

In response, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi warned that Trump’s threats could amount to "war crimes." Posting on X, he stated: "The U.S. President, the highest official in his country, has openly threatened to commit war crimes," citing specific international law provisions that such strikes would violate.

Since the conflict began, Iran has permitted only limited maritime traffic through the Strait, disrupting approximately 20% of global oil and gas shipments. On Sunday, the Oman News Agency reported that Iran and the Sultanate of Oman discussed ways to ensure the "smooth passage" of vessels through the waterway. In recent weeks, Iranian lawmakers have also proposed imposing transit fees on vessels passing through the Strait.
