Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem said on Wednesday that Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, including targeting displaced civilians outside the “yellow line.”

Qassem stated that “the occupation is escalating its breaches of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza by targeting shelters and displacement camps in central Gaza City outside the yellow line, resulting in the deaths of several Palestinians and injuries to others, in addition to the deliberate killing of a journalist in Khan Younis in the south of the Strip.”
He added that “the continued killings, demolition of homes, forced displacement of civilians, and restrictions on the entry of aid carried out by the criminal occupation confirm that this enemy is persisting in a genocide against our people in Gaza, with a change in method but with the same objectives.”
The spokesperson renewed his call for the mediators and guarantor states that met in Sharm El-Sheikh to take serious action to stop these violations and compel Israel to fully abide by the ceasefire agreement.
For the 54th consecutive day, Israeli forces have continued to violate the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, launching additional airstrikes, artillery shelling, and demolition operations in the eastern parts of the enclave.
Since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10, a total of 361 Palestinians have been killed—most of them children, women, and the elderly—while 903 others have been injured with varying degrees of wounds.
