Aoun: We Will Not Allow Israel to Remain on Any Inch of Lebanese Territory
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated on Tuesday, "We will not allow Israel to remain on even a single inch of Lebanese territory, nor will we allow a single one of its soldiers to stay on our land."اضافة اعلان

Speaking during a meeting with a delegation from the Maronite Foundation in the World, Aoun noted that negotiations are making progress and remain, in all cases, far better than the outcomes of a war that is devastating to us. He explained that the scale of Israeli aggressions against Lebanon has diminished following the signing of the "Framework Agreement," which has positively reflected on the return of Lebanese citizens to spend the summer in their homeland.

He continued: "There is no disagreement among Lebanese on the objectives—from the Israeli withdrawal and the return of prisoners to the rebuilding of what was destroyed."

He pointed out hearing "slogans claiming that what was taken by force can only be restored by force, but facts on the ground have proven the invalidity of this statement," adding, "It is time for the sons of the South to rest and settle in their land, rather than continuing wars fought in their name for non-Lebanese objectives."

He affirmed that the goal today is to rebuild the state, whatever the cost, despite opposition from those seeking to tear down the foundations of the state and prevent its reconstruction.

Under U.S. sponsorship, Israel and Lebanon signed a framework agreement on Friday, June 26, 2026, following a fifth round of negotiations in Washington.
