The number of real estate ownership transactions by non-Jordanian investors in Jordan reached 1,258 properties during the first seven months of the current year, down 5% compared with the same period in 2025. However, the estimated value of these transactions increased by 15% to reach JD 123.4 million, according to a report by the Department of Lands and Survey.

According to the report reviewed by Al Mamlaka, ownership transactions during the first seven months of the year comprised 786 apartments, an increase of 2% compared with the same period last year, and 472 plots of land, a decrease of 16%.

The estimated value of apartments purchased by non-Jordanians reached JD 67.6 million, accounting for 55% of the total transaction value, while land purchases amounted to JD 55.8 million, or 45%.

Iraqi nationals ranked first in terms of the number of properties purchased by non-Jordanians during the first seven months of the year, with 313 properties, followed by Saudi nationals with 160 properties, Syrians with 144, Palestinians with 121, and Americans with 93 properties.

In terms of value, Iraqi nationals also maintained the top position, with an estimated value of JD 53.278 million, accounting for 43% of the total estimated value of non-Jordanian property ownership transactions.

Palestinian nationals ranked second in terms of ownership value at JD 9.143 million, representing 7%, followed by British nationals in third place with JD 8.394 million, also accounting for 7%.

Syrian nationals ranked fourth, with an estimated value of JD 7.891 million, representing 6.4%, while American nationals ranked fifth at JD 7.623 million, or 6.2%.

Compared with the first seven months of 2025, the total number of property ownership transactions by non-Jordanians fell from 1,329 to 1,258, a decline of 5%. Apartment transactions, however, increased from 770 to 786, or 2%, while land transactions fell from 559 to 472, a decrease of 16%.

Meanwhile, the total value of property ownership transactions rose from JD 107.04 million during the first seven months of last year to JD 123.404 million during the same period this year, an increase of 15%.

July: Iraqis Top Ownership by Number and Value

During July, the number of property ownership transactions by non-Jordanian investors reached 217 properties, down 1% compared with the same month in 2025, but up 17% compared with the previous month, according to the report reviewed by Al Mamlaka.

Non-Jordanians purchased 137 apartments in July, down 7% year-on-year but up 15% from the previous month. The number of land plots purchased reached 80, an increase of 11% year-on-year and 19% compared with the previous month.

The estimated value of property ownership transactions in July increased by 45% compared with the same month in 2025, reaching JD 23.779 million, while declining by 2% compared with the previous month.

July’s transaction value was divided between JD 12.064 million in apartments, accounting for 51% of the total, and JD 11.716 million in land, representing 49%.

Iraqi nationals ranked first in terms of the number of properties purchased in July, with 46 properties, followed by Syrians with 30, Saudis with 25, Palestinians with 21, and Americans with 20 properties.

In terms of value, Iraqi nationals also ranked first, with investments totaling JD 6.320 million, representing 27% of the estimated value of non-Jordanian property ownership transactions during the month, according to the report reviewed by Al Mamlaka.

British nationals ranked second in terms of value at JD 3.648 million, accounting for 15%, followed by Canadians at JD 1.940 million, or 8%, and Americans at JD 1.719 million, or 7%.
