Pezeshkian: I Met with Khamenei for 7 Hours
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met for 7 hours with Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, according to the official Iranian news agency IRNA.

IRNA reported on Monday, citing Pezeshkian, that Khamenei emphasized the vital importance of maintaining "unity and cohesion."

The Iranian President added that discussions covered hardship stemming from sanctions imposed on Iran, alongside "citizens' livelihoods, employment, and housing."

He noted that U.S. schemes aim to create divisions within Iran, stressing that Iran is working to avoid internal disputes and statements that could provoke discord.

The office of Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei announced on Sunday that Khamenei met with President Masoud Pezeshkian, at a time when he has registered no public appearances since his appointment last March.

In a statement, the Supreme Leader's office noted that Pezeshkian met with Khamenei at the start of the third year of Pezeshkian's presidential term.

The statement added that the Supreme Leader and Pezeshkian held detailed discussions on various challenges facing Iran, current developments amid the ongoing war, and outlooks for the next phase, according to IRNA.

According to the agency, views were also exchanged during the meeting regarding the enhancement of external economic engagement.اضافة اعلان
