Yazn Al-Khudair, Secretary-General of the Jordanian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, met with officials from the tourism sector and representatives of travel companies in Azerbaijan as part of efforts to enhance international cooperation, promote Jordan in promising markets, and expand the country’s presence on the regional and global tourism map.

According to a ministry statement, Al-Khudair met with Fuad Najiev, head of the Azerbaijani Tourism Agency, to discuss ways to boost tourism cooperation between the two countries and explore opportunities to increase the number of Azerbaijani tourists visiting Jordan.
In the presence of Jordan’s ambassador to Baku, Omar Al-Nahar, Al-Khudair also met with Samir Rzayev, head of the Azerbaijani airline company, and with Joidans Kahramanov, a member of the Azerbaijani parliament and head of the Association of Tourism and Travel Agents, along with Deputy Ambassador Ashraf Al-Qatarneh, to discuss ways to enhance air connectivity and facilitate tourism programs to Jordan.
Organized and coordinated by the Jordanian Embassy in Baku, Al-Khudair held a series of meetings with representatives of major tourism and travel companies in Azerbaijan to explore cooperation prospects and promote tourist arrivals from this emerging market in Central Asia.
These meetings coincided with Al-Khudair’s visit to Baku to participate in preparatory sessions for the fourth session of the Joint Committee for Trade, Economic, and Technical Cooperation between Jordan and Azerbaijan.
On the sidelines of the visit, Ambassador Omar Al-Nahar hosted a meeting between Al-Khudair and several Azerbaijani tourism content creators, where Al-Khudair presented an overview of Jordan’s tourism offerings and highlighted the kingdom’s diverse and attractive archaeological and tourist sites.
