The league will feature seven teams this season, including De La Salle, Al-Petra, Al-Taawoun, Deir Alah, Al-Quds, Shabab Bushra, and the last year runner up Al-Nasr club.

This season started with the Super Cup and the Princess Aya Bint Al-Faisal Cup, which were both won by De La Salle.

De La Salle has traditionally been on top in women’s volleyball in Jordan, but last season saw Al-Nasr club close the gap.

Al-Nasr’s coach Ali Manko said: “We have a young team with very promising potential, our oldest player is 19 years old, so winning the league is eventually happening, and we are already competing at a high level, if it wasn’t for the lack of experience, we would have won the super and the Princess Aya cup.”

“As for this season’s preparations, we are training more, the girls gained some experience from the previous competitions, and God willing we will win the league this year.”
