AIFF establishes advisory board

AMMAN — The Amman International Film Festival – Awal Film (AIFF) announced the establishment of its first International Advisory Board. اضافة اعلان

Comprising of eleven members of the film industry and business world, Princess Rym Ali, President of AIFF said in a statement “With their extensive experience and knowledge of the film industry, international business, and the art world, the board will provide valuable insight and guidance to the festival’s organizers.”

AIFF is a cultural event for the residents of Jordan as well as for the film industry in the region which provides a platform for filmmakers, allowing them to showcase their work to a global audience, according to a press statement.

Attracting thousands of attendees and guests from Abroad, AIFF aims to help raise Amman as a cultural hub in the region.

“Our festival is relatively young, but it has already left its mark on the map of international festivals with its specific focus on first-time achievements, mainly in Arab cinema,” Nada Doumani, the Festival Director said. “It has a character of its own, where quality and support to filmmakers matter above all other considerations.”

The advisory board consists of Omar Abu Jaber,  Mohannad Al Bakri, Abed Al Razzaq Arabiyat, Georges Khabbaz, Lina de Ladoucette, Samer Majali, Rashid Masharawi, Saba Mubarak, Yousry Nasrallah, Samir, and Jihan El Tahri.
