Tariq Al-Maaytah, Director of the Ajloun Development Area, said that the active tourism in the governorate reflects a positive indicator of the success of joint efforts between the Ministry of Tourism, the Investment Authority, and the development area in creating an attractive environment for tourism investment and providing new job opportunities for the local community.

He added that the “cable car” receives increasing numbers of families and visitors from various regions, enhancing the site’s significance as a key component of the comprehensive tourism experience in the governorate.

Adi Al-Qudah, Director of Ajloun Forest Reserve for the Biosphere, noted that the occupancy rate in the reserve and its facilities reached about 60%, with around 2,100 visitors to the reserve today, confirming that this turnout reflects the governorate’s status as a prominent tourist destination on the national tourism map.

Ebtehal Al-Samadi, Vice President of the Nesma Shawq Tourism Association, highlighted that Ajloun’s diverse tourism offerings—from eco-trails to archaeological sites and heritage products—make it a central hub for domestic tourism under the “Our Jordan is Paradise” program, which supports tourism across the governorates.

Ali Al-Fandi, owner of one of the governorate’s tourist resorts, stated that Ajloun has significant potential to attract tourism investments due to its stunning nature, moderate climate, and richness in local products, emphasizing that the expansion of tourism projects contributes to strengthening the local economy and increasing employment opportunities for youth.
