AMMAN — A project which envisions allowing companies to adopt digital identity and related services will be implemented within seven months, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmed Al-Hanandeh said, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

Hanandeh explained in comments Saturday that the use of the electronic signature on the government’s Sanad application “is not less valid or secure” than signing it in person.

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship announced last Wednesday an update for Sanad, after completing additions and updating the current version through three online stores.

The modified version enables users to sign documents digitally. The application can verify the signature and validate the document upon signing it.

The ministry said the first stage, which is self-signing, will be available to companies through a special digital signature platform, which is currently under examination, to activate it for government transactions that allow digital and electronic signature in its last stage.
