Citizens protest Libyan debts in Amman

AMMAN — Dozens of citizens affected by Libyan debts assembled on Sunday in front of the Libyan Embassy in Amman, according to Al-Ghad News.اضافة اعلان

The protesters demanded that the Libyan government pay the financial dues to the owners of tourism facilities.

The head of the Committee of “those affected by Libyan debt” Mohammed Sinan, said that the Libyan government had not paid its dues for more than 10 years, adding that the Libyan government had made promises to pay its dues but had not fulfilled these promises.

Sinan pointed out that a group of owners of tourism facilities had to sell their businesses in order to pay their expenses and obligations, stressing that they suffered from securing the basic needs of their families. He called on all the Libyan and Jordanian authorities concerned to intervene to end the crisis.
