Exports from the Amman Chamber of Industry continued their upward growth trajectory since the beginning of 2025, reflecting the resilience and adaptability of Jordanian industry in overcoming challenges, bolstered by its quality and competitiveness in export markets.اضافة اعلان

During the first third of this year, exports increased by 14.8%, surpassing the 2 billion dinar mark, compared to the same period in 2024.

According to statistical data obtained by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), exports reached 2.267 billion dinars, up from 1.973 billion dinars in the same period last year.

Most industrial sectors saw an increase in exports, except for the wood and furniture, medical and pharmaceutical supplies, and packaging sectors, which declined by 14.7%, 6.4%, and 5.2% respectively.

Conversely, seven sub-industrial sectors recorded varying levels of growth, the highest being the construction materials sector at 105.2%, and the lowest being plastics and rubber at 1.6%.

India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq collectively accounted for over half of Amman's exports, totaling 1.284 billion dinars.

Exports to India rose by 19.9%, reaching 307 million dinars, up from 256 million the year before.

Exports to Saudi Arabia increased by 4.7% to 274 million dinars, while exports to Iraq rose by 4% to 303 million dinars.

However, exports to the United States declined by 4.1%, dropping to 400 million dinars from 417 million, though it remained the top importer of Amman’s exports.

Exports to Syria surged 346.5% to reach 94 million dinars, up from 21 million in the same period last year.

Exports to Palestine also rose by 34.1%, totaling 58 million dinars, up from 42 million.

Geographically, Arab countries topped the list with 1.103 billion dinars, followed by non-Arab Asian countries at 447 million, and North America at 416 million dinars.

Exports to the EU totaled 120 million dinars, Africa 80 million, non-EU European countries 69 million, South America 12 million, and other countries 21 million dinars.

Sector-wise distribution included:

Mining industries: 504 million dinars

Chemicals and cosmetics: 420 million dinars

Engineering, electrical, and IT: 356 million dinars

Food, agriculture, and livestock: 334 million dinars

Medical and health supplies: 197 million dinars

Textiles and leather: 189 million dinars

Plastics and rubber: 101 million dinars

Packaging and stationery: 84 million dinars

Construction materials: 75 million dinars

Wood and furniture: 6 million dinars

Founded in 1962, the Amman Chamber of Industry currently includes 8,600 industrial establishments, employing 159,000 workers, with a total capital of around 5 billion dinars.
