Netherlands Provides €100 Million to Jordan’s Water Sector
The Netherlands has pledged €100 million in support of Jordan’s water sector over the next four years.

Of this amount, €31 million will be allocated to finance the National Water Carrier Project.اضافة اعلان

During a meeting on Monday with the newly appointed Dutch Ambassador to Jordan, Stella Kloth, Minister of Water and Irrigation Eng. Raed Abu Saud expressed his appreciation for the Dutch government’s support of Jordan’s water sector.

The minister highlighted the significant challenges facing Jordan, as well as the Kingdom’s experience in integrated water management, reducing water loss, adopting comprehensive energy efficiency programs, and advancing major projects that provide long-term solutions to the water crisis, such as the National Carrier Project.

He also emphasized the importance of joint cooperation in water projects, strengthening the role of Jordanian and Dutch private sectors in addressing water scarcity, tackling the impacts of climate change and floods, exploring groundwater management, adopting modern agricultural technologies, supporting the management contract of Yarmouk Water Company, and enhancing public water awareness programs.
