Cooper noted: "We are considering a wide range of options, primarily working with the travel sector and implementing government-led evacuations where necessary." She added that the British government is looking toward the reopening of regional airspace.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated on Sunday that his country had approved a U.S. request to use British bases for launching defensive strikes to intercept Iranian missiles at storage sites or launch pads.

In a video message on the "X" platform, Starmer explained that the United States requested permission to use British bases for this "specific and limited defensive purpose," confirming the decision to accept the request was made to prevent Iran from launching missiles across the region.

Starmer reiterated that Britain did not participate in the joint U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iran, which resulted in the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Saturday, emphasizing that the UK would not join further waves of strikes.

He pointed out that Iran responded by launching sustained attacks across the region and noted that Iranian missiles had struck airports and hotels where British citizens were staying.
