The First Committee of the United Nations General Assembly last night adopted a resolution calling for the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the Middle East.اضافة اعلان

The resolution was supported by 171 countries, including Jordan, while three countries — Israel, the United States, and Argentina — voted against it, and three others — Fiji, Paraguay, and Cameroon — abstained.

The First Committee, which deals with disarmament and international security, also adopted another resolution on the risk of nuclear proliferation in the Middle East, with the support of 155 countries, including Jordan.
Five countries — Argentina, India, Pakistan, North Korea, and Israel — voted against it, while the United States, Fiji, Georgia, Bhutan, Paraguay, and Papua New Guinea abstained.
