First call in seven months between U.S. and China amid clashes over pandemic.

U.S. President Joe Biden received a call from Chinese president Xi Jinping to ensure that “the responsibility of both nations does not veer into conflict.” A White house statement added. اضافة اعلان

This is only the second call between both presidents since the U.S. incumbent assumed office.  Relations between the two nations has been strained due to disagreements over key issues including, the pandemic, espionage and trade.
 
The call was in accordance to the ongoing effort by the U.S. to regulate competition with the People’s Republic of China(PRC) 

“The two leaders had a broad, strategic discussion in which they discussed areas where our interests converge, and areas where our interests, values, and perspectives diverge," the White House Statement added.
