As part of its ongoing efforts to assert control over water sources across the Kingdom, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority, through its Internal Control Unit and in cooperation with Jordan Water Company (Miyahuna) – Zarqa Water Directorate (Planning & Quality and Operations Departments – Dhuleil Maintenance and Operations Office), carried out a joint campaign in the Dhuleil–Hallabat area of Zarqa.اضافة اعلان

The campaign was conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, various Public Security formations, the Gendarmerie Forces, the Royal Department for Environmental Protection, and the Dhuleil Police Station, and it uncovered multiple violations on main water transmission lines.

The violations included the illegal extraction of water through unauthorized connections to a 300mm transmission line, installation of valves, and the extension of pipelines of various diameters to illegally supply water to 25 homes built unlawfully on state-owned land.

It was found that these homes were extracting large quantities of water to supply entire neighborhoods with 24-hour access—without official water subscriptions.

The ministry reported that the illegal connections were disconnected, official violation reports were filed, and calculations are underway to determine the quantities of stolen water. Offenders will be referred to the relevant authorities for legal action.

The Water Authority and Miyahuna affirmed that their inspection teams will continue their monitoring campaigns and pursue all those involved in such violations that infringe on citizens’ water rights and significantly impact the consistency of water supply in these areas. They expressed gratitude to the Public Security Directorate, particularly the Dhuleil Police, for their support in completing the operation.

The Ministry / Water Authority called on all citizens to continue cooperating and to report any tampering or attempted violations of water lines via the hotline 06/5600180 to help preserve every drop of water.
