Virtual UNESCO session starts; Salt candidacy to be discussed

AMMAN — Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Al-Fayez on Friday participated in a virtual UNESCO World Heritage meeting.اضافة اعلان

The meeting is expected to cover 39 nominations for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List, among which is the Jordanian city of Salt, Al-Ghad news reported. 

The session will be held from July 16 to 31, and is also expected to discuss the state of several UNESCO World Heritage sites in the Kingdom, such as Petra, Wadi Rum, Al-Maghtas, and Umm Al-Rasas.
