Ministry lowers tourist site entry fees for Arab travelers

The Cabinet recently announced a decision to charge Arab tourists the same amount as Jordanians to enter Jordan’s museums and archaeological sites. The decision is in effect from May 1 to December 31, 2021. In a statement released on Sunday, Minister of tourism and antiquities, Nayef Fayez, said the Cabinet’s decision aims to boost inter-Arab tourism and increase tourists to the Kingdom from Arab countries, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. Fayez added that the decision is meant to enhance the Kingdom’s competitiveness to attract more Arab tourists who wish to see the country’s “unique and varied” destinations.
