Vegetable prices up due to inclement weather

AMMAN — Minister of Agriculture Khaled Hneifat said that vegetable prices rose because of the frost, according to Khaberni News.

He said that temperatures went uncharacteristically low, causing a shortage in quantity of produce, and that the increase in prices was the result of an increase in demand.اضافة اعلان

Hneifat said that even farmers using greenhouses saw their production go down from 200kg to 40kg.

The minister said that the imported quantities are increasing gradually, and the prices will gradually decrease with the approach of Ramadan.
