Under the vote, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be allowed to deliver a recorded speech to the General Assembly without being present.

“Ukraine’s president can submit a recorded speech, which will be played during the General Assembly’ debate at its 77th session,” Ad-Dustour said.

It said the speech will be heard after its representative, Ukraine’s representative to the UN, who will be physically at the assembly’s hall, introduces the speech.

The resolution stipulated that this procedure applies to general discussions for the current session only.

Some 101 countries voted in favor of the resolution, while 7 countries rejected it, and 19 countries abstained. Some others missed the ballot.
