This project is part of the Ministry's efforts to improve road infrastructure and enhance traffic safety. The implementation period is set for 180 days, with an estimated cost of approximately 2.77 million JOD.

Scope of Work
The project includes several key technical and safety components:

Road Expansion: Widening the existing road and milling the surface to apply a new asphalt layer.

Earthworks: Excavation, filling, and laying sub-base for the expanded areas.

Rock Protection: Rock cutting and the installation of safety netting for rocky slopes, alongside the implementation of "Gabion" protection walls.

Lighting & Marking: Installing road lighting along nearly 6 kilometers and applying ground markings.

Safety Elements: Completing traffic safety features for both the first and second phases of the project according to the highest international standards.

Traffic Mechanism
The Ministry explained that the work will be carried out by dividing the road into zones using plastic barriers:

Work will take place on one lane while keeping the other open for traffic.

Once the expansion of the first lane is complete, traffic will be diverted to it so that work can begin on the opposite lane.

The Ministry confirmed that all work sites are equipped with necessary diversions, safety elements, and warning signs. It urges all road users to adhere to safe driving practices, follow the instructions of field personnel, and comply with the guidance provided by the Public Security Directorate and project supervisors.
