AMMAN— On Friday, HRH Princess Ghida Talal, chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center (KHCC), launched the sixth Arab campaign for breast cancer awareness called “Scanned?” in Arabic, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The 2021 campaign aims at spreading awareness about breast cancer and the importance of mammogram screenings since they are effective in the early detection of breast cancer.

Princess Ghida stressed that she will not stop calling on every Arab woman to do early screening of breast cancer, adding that “early detection saves lives.”
A field scientific study conducted by Jordan Breast Cancer Program recently indicated that women’s awareness about breast cancer is essential for early detection, but women’s fear of having disease greatly decreases their tendency to do an early screening.

The Jordanian Breast Cancer Program is a national program the works under the KHCC’s administration and support to provide women with all the awareness, services, and technology necessary for early screenings.
