The Ministry of Public Works and Housing has completed a maintenance and rehabilitation project on the development road in Ma'an Governorate, at a cost of approximately 350,000 dinars, Al-Ghad reported. The project was funded through allocations from the Ma'an Governorate Council.

Work included repairing points of road subsidence, milling sections of the existing asphalt and reinforcing them with a new polymer-modified asphalt mix, and applying road markings, reflectors and other traffic safety elements. Crews also inspected and repaired the road's existing median strip.
The rehabilitated stretch covers roughly 3 kilometers, split evenly between both directions of travel. The road links the Desert Highway with the Ma'an-Mudawwarah Road, a connection that serves passenger and freight traffic between the two routes.
The ministry said the project is part of its ongoing program to maintain and upgrade the road network and raise safety standards, particularly on roads serving development projects, inter-governorate transport, border crossings and other essential routes.
