Prime minister receives Saudi transport minister

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh received Tuesday Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser to discuss relations, transport, and a joint committee meeting. During the meeting, Khasawneh described the Jordanian-Saudi relations as “strategic and based on a long history spanning over decades.” The prime minister said that there is a common political will to expand cooperation and exchange expertise in various political, economic, and social areas, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. He also pointed out the importance of holding the 17th session of the Jordanian-Saudi Joint Trade Committee, which is scheduled for today, to cement cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of transportation. For his part, Jasser underscored the deep-rooted ties and close cooperation in various fields, pointing to the two countries commitment to boosting ties to serve their common interests. He also highlighted commitment to coming up with tangible results within clear-cut timetables to establish joint projects and procedures agreed upon during the joint committee’s meeting, in addition to addressing challenges to serve relations. During the meeting, Khasawneh described the Jordanian-Saudi relations as “strategic and based on a long history spanning over decades.”
