The number of companies registered in Jordan increased by 7.24% from the beginning of 2026 through September 30, compared with the same period last year.

A report by the Companies Control Department showed that 6,046 companies were registered during the first nine months of this year, up from 5,638 during the corresponding period in 2025.
The total registered capital exceeded JD 201 million. Limited liability companies accounted for the largest share of registrations, with 4,682 companies, representing 77% of all newly registered companies, and registered capital exceeding JD 76 million.
The report also showed that private shareholding companies recorded the highest registered capital among company types this year, with capital exceeding JD 77 million.
The number of companies whose registrations were cancelled or dissolved fell by 15% compared with the same period last year, reaching 764 companies, down from 899.
The number of companies whose registration was cancelled or dissolved in the same year they were established also fell by 50%. Only 10 companies out of the 6,046 registered this year were cancelled or dissolved, compared with 20 out of 5,638 companies registered last year.
The report said the increase in registered capital reached nearly JD 1 billion this year, marking the second consecutive year of growth and an increase of approximately JD 48 million compared with the previous year.
Meanwhile, 146 companies reduced their capital this year, compared with 203 last year, while 990 companies increased their capital, down from 1,300 companies in 2025.
The report revealed that 92,193 companies have activated their electronic accounts since the Companies Control Department launched its electronic services at the end of 2020, including 5,973 companies during the current year.
