Police arrest 4 in ongoing drug raids — PSD

AMMAN — Personnel from the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) arrested four on suspicion of drug trafficking in Amman and North Shouneh, a spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said on Sunday. The arrests come as part of ongoing police efforts to crack down on the distribution of narcotics in the Kingdom. In the capital, a “special investigation team” tracked down three drug suspects, who were arrested after an exchange of fire, the police spokesperson said. Firearms and drugs were seized in the arrest. In North Shouneh, an antinarcotics security force arrested a wanted man for trafficking and promoting drugs, and quantities of illegal pills in his possession were seized, the spokesperson said. In North Shouneh, an antinarcotics security force arrested a wanted man for trafficking and promoting drugs, and quantities of illegal pills in his possession were seized, the spokesperson said.
